Gavin Baker is an Outreach Fellow at SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), an international alliance of academic and research libraries dedicated to promoting openness in the scholarly communications system. He is also Assistant Editor of Open Access News, Peter Suber's comprehensive blog covering the Open Access movement.

He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida.
